Great staff, food and service!!! Scones are huge and sooooo yummy. A must when you visit Lava!

Hash browns were raw and not even completely thawed. Food took a long time to be served. Ribs of romaine lettuce were rust colored. Two pieces of the green lettuce had dark brown spots. The pancake is more like bread than a fluffy pancake should be. A fork wouldn’t even cut through it.

Good food, but, I was enjoying the delicious scone when a big bug dropped onto it. The Owner said the bug was alive so not concerned at all. Just picked it up with his fingers like we were suppose to take the scone back to our table and finish eating it. When I complained to the waitress she asked if I wanted the scone in a box to go.

DO NOT EAT HERE. Waited over an hour to be sat then waited another 15-20 minutes to have someone take our order. An hour later, we finally get our food and it was NASTY and burnt. Didn't even eat most of it. Getting ready to leave I overheard a waitress giving a 10% discount at her table for the wait. That table came in after us and didn't want as long as us and when I called her out on it all I got was, "I'm sorry I understand." Well I'm sorry and I hope you understand this, I will NEVER eat here again.

Asked three times for a menu. The waitress were rude, asked for a manager and was ignored again. Waitress kept mumbling under her breathe. Go any where else but here. 78th on Main St or Royal Pizzaria well treat you right. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

Just ate there and it was terrible. We had lunch after a nice soak in the hot pools. The freshly cooked bread really did look freshly cooked until we cut in to it and it was half frozen. the soup of the day was luke warm at best. Seems like the microwave was on the fritz. I ordered the tacos because when I asked if they were good I got a hearty, They're Great! from our server. Well, the only thing that made this a taco was that it was served on a tortilla with salsa. The meat was an old, charred burger that had been "chopped" up. it had no taco seasoning or flavor whatsoever and there were actually pieces of gristle mixed in. Food in Lava, in my opinion, has a long way to go.

This is a great place to eat in Lava Hot Springs. The building is old and slightly dirty... but that goes with age. If you're looking for great food and lots of it, this is the place to eat!

I used to love this place when I was younger, but it's now old and dirty and the food was terrible. They brought us scones that were cold and hard. I asked if they could make us fresh scones, which they did. The next batch was hot and soft, but the insides were doughy and we couldn't eat them. My whole family was sick the next day. I've seen cleaner bathrooms at Truck Stops. They food was way overpriced too!

I went to this restaurant with 3 others and none of us liked the food. It was poorly cooked and tasted horrible. I didn't think someone could actually make a baked potato taste bad but they nailed it. The food was overpriced and the restaurant looked as though it might not pass a health inspection. I would suggest driving to johnny's down the street, that's what we did.
