I had to give them one star. Should be an option for no stars...I am a Vet of OIF. I love food and eat out a lot more than I should. I have been many places around the world eating good and Really bad food. I went to Cookies Diner, 118 S Lafayette St, Macomb, IL 61455 a few weeks ago because my favorite spot was over run buy the college kids no problem. I wont say what that spot is here because I don't want you to think i'm promoting them I always enjoy trying to find new joint to eat in and I love the challenged of finding great food places. Taste and service is very important to me,more taste than service.....because I can deal with BAD service if your food Taste great. Don't expect to find either here. When you serve someone in your Diner PLEASE don't come to the Table holding your Cellphone having a conversation. Because I cant tell you what I want, I don't want to feel like I'm irrupting your conversation to serve me. Then when I ask for more coffee and you hold up a finger to me to tell me to wait is quite rude. Ok I get it your busy come back to me when you don't have a cell phone in your ear. Finally when we got our food of two eggs over easy has browns and sausage links 37 min later it was cold and hand no flavor...I just don't get it. Anyway don't trust me go see for yourself, but be warned there are better places in Macomb at a better price to go eat. #FACT
