The location and actual venue is beautiful. The views and decor is something out of a Louisiana movie. However, with the exception of our waitress everyone else was beyond rude and pretentious. We were greeted at the door with multiple staff and when asked if we could sit inside (btw it's July and beyond hot) they kept pushing us to sit outside. There was more than enough empty tables indoors. They then pushed and said we could sit at the bar and that it serves food, again...the bar outside. We stated no, we want inside as it's quite hot outside. There were so many available tables but we soon learned it was because it was the servers then that worked outdoors to be seated next. I'm unsure why this was fair to either us or the wait staff. However, rather than have anyone else serve us they made this poor girl still take our table. So she was running all over the place. No fault of her own but we barely got service. The manager or shift leader or someone actually came to take our drink orders bc it was taking so long. Again our server was more than kind and sweet but felt like the staff kept giving us nasty looks. We both felt very uncomfortable. Plus they seated us right between two large parties with a table that was unbalanced and wobbly. Our tiny little table was so close that anytime the table next to us server came over her butt would press against our table. We went at brunch and the menu was not it. The food was way overpriced and just not good. I felt like everything from the water to pancakes had extra favors in it that weren't needed nor indicated on the menu. My sister enjoyed her shrimp and grits but even that was odd to me. Even though it was called shrimp and grits it was actually crawfish and grits. I will never return and have never felt so uncomfortable and unwelcome in a restaurant before. We were dressed appropriately, I've been to a ton of restaurants in the area but hated the whole experience. It really upset me and left a bad taste in my mouth that I was judged and felt lacking somehow and wasn't wanted there.
