restaurant in Shorewood Illinois on route 59 has really gone down and has been going down over the last couple of years at least. The last time I went there I ordered online and left a decent tips because I selected curbside pick up. I received a text message saying let them know when I am there and in my parking place. I did when I got there and received a message someone would be out shortly. After a while no one came out and I noticed other people who were parking in the special spots for curbside pick up we’re getting out and going in to get their food. I try to call them to see what the delay was but they would not answer the phones. I finally after 15 minutes went in to get my food and it was a joke. Everybody was upset at the restaurant and everybody was waiting at the takeout counter for food that was supposed to be delivered curbside. I looked in the restaurant and there were two people sitting at the bar but that was it so they were not busy. Apparently the people in the kitchen were yelling at each other and nobody knew the first thing about getting the job done professionally and taking care of the customers. At that point I decided that would be the last time I tip unless I got service first. I then tried the restaurant one more time tonight and we ordered the food over the phone instead of the website. That means we talk to a person and explain to them exactly what we wanted. My meal is not complicated, I ordered a plain cheeseburger which means just cheese on it. My wife who picked the food up knows that good customer service is hard to come by so she looked at it before leaving with it and saw there was yellow on the beef patty and thought it was cheese. Of course after I bit into it I realized it was mustard, something I cannot stand. That ruined my whole dinner and of course I could not take it back since I was already at home and I don’t live across the street from the restaurant. We called the restaurant and talked to a manager and, get this, when we said we ordered a plain cheeseburger we were told that their version of plain means it has mustard only on it. Where the hell in the world is that the definition of plain? I can’t believe they actually told us that and I can’t believe anybody would implement a policy so ridiculous. I guess you need a college degree to know the meaning of the word plain. I have had enough with them and will never go back to their restaurant again and I am sure a lot of people feel the same way. It’s not a surprise that when I was there 2 visits ago that the restaurant was empty. No it has nothing to do with Covid, yes it has everything to do with customer service.

On May 10th we placed an curbside order they said the wait it 1hr. No problem right. But when my hubby gets there the line is so long that it too him 1hr and 45 mins to yet his order. So the 1hr order was 3hrs. Are food was cold and it tasted like they pulled 8t out of the freeze and put it in the container. We have been calling for two days cause we ended up throwing $70 worth of food out. I am so disappointed because we love chilis. They couldn't keep up and kept taking orders. Shame on the chili manager. Very poor management!

We placed an order at Chili's today at 5pm. They said the order would be ready between 5:30pm and 5:45pm. Get there at 5:35pm. The freaking curbside pickup line was outside the Chili's lot damn near to Target up the street. Waited 3 hours and finally get to the front and then they tell us they've cancelled all orders made after 6pm. Our order was placed at 5pm. The worker there didn't care to listen she just walked away while we were speaking and closed the door. No apology, no nothing and no explanation just a walk off. Rude as hell! It was a money grab. They basically grabbed as much money as they could knowing they couldn't fulfill the orders and left everyone hanging after waiting for hours. They could have placed a sign to let everyone know all orders were cancelled. They could have had workers go outside and tell all the people that they've cancelled all the orders. The phone stayed busy, so you couldn't get through and after a while the phone wouldn't ring at all. I placed an $80.00 plus order and I better get a damn refund and then some!!!
