We have been to Thyme Restaurant 5 times and the food to be very good. We ate there tonight with a group of 10 for a birthday party. The service was excellent, the view on the lake is great for outside dining. The food was excellent and enjoyed by all. Many choices selected by our group. We especially like the homemade ice cream and always order it.
I find it disgraceful that anyone would make a poor review on a new restaurant that is trying hard to make your dining experience enjoyable. You should be discussing the problem with the owners, so they can make it better.
Notice that the earlier reviewers came in 2014 and not in 2015.

The renovations are very nice and the service was okay, though a bit slow with the server not knowing the answers to questions we asked about the food. A few of us in the group ordered fish entrees and shared them so that we could get a variety of different tastes. A short time after leaving the restaurant, three of us had stomach cramps and then suffered serious diarrhea. None of those afflicted had eaten anything prior to our meals at Thyme on Pretty Lake nor did we eat anything after leaving. We had a minimum of alcoholic beverages with our meals. I am certain the fish we ate was tainted, but since each fish dish was prepared with a lot of spices, herbs, vegetables and sauces, any bad flavor was concealed. I am horrified that a restaurant that boast of its cuisine would be so careless. We will never go back or advise anyone to go to Thyme on Pretty Lake

Thyme is a new restaurant on Pretty Lake in Plymouth, IN. The restaurant is very nice in decor and the view of the lake is nice. My good review stops with that. Prices are a little on the high side, but not outrageous. For a place that is trying to be a fine dining restaurant I would expect something other then paper tablecloths. That was kind of a turn off, but still passable. We went with another couple and the restaurant was empty, except for one table with an adult and two children. We ordered clam chowder, a regular menu item, and the waitress came back in a few minutes and said they were out. We then ordered caesar salads. The dressing was good, however the salad was made with head lettuce, which pretty much ruins a traditional caesar. The wine list by the glass is extremely limited and the wine was very mediocre. We ordered a gin and tonic and when it came it tasted like it had been made with water, not tonic. We sent it back and ordered another one and the waitress came and said it would be a minute because they were changing the tonic dispenser. A few minutes later the bar tender came and said they were out of regular tonic water which is why they used the diet. What kind of bar doesn't have a stock of tonic water? Two in our party ordered pasta dishes, which they said were good. Another ordered lamb chops and said they were good. I ordered their "soon to be famous" ribs and they were awful. Tough and dry and tasted like they had been cooked a couple days before and just heated up with a little sauce. Very bad! We tried to order creme brulee for dessert because we had heard the waitress offer this to the only other table in the restaurant but again, they were out. The whole experience was extremely disappointing. I thought maybe it was an omen that the decor on our table was a little metal pot with Thyme in it. The Thyme was half dead and unless this restaurant starts taking being a real restaurant seriously, it will be too.
