I supplied Tom's for a while. His steaks were prime beef. He never skimped on his food and he's just a cordial owner. You can do a lot worse. Try this place

Rude staff, bad service, food made wrong.....

1 star because 0 isn't an option.

My wife and I have been looking forward to trying out this restaurant as there are not many out in the country where we live, yesterday we chose this spot before a concert we were going to.

We sit down, order and the waitress says it will be 30 min due to having a new cook. We accepted the 30 minute wait since it would take that long anyway to leave and get food somewhere else. I couldn't imagine it would actually take 30 minutes tho, there were only 5 tables sat - 2 tables of 4 and 3 of 2, and 4 or 5 people at the bar so total maybe 20 people, max.

30 minutes came and went, 45 cames and went, after an hour the waitress said we were next up, turned out to not be the case because another table who sat after us are now getting served before us. At this point we are both pretty frustrated especially since we have plans after dinner and don't want to be late.

The food finally arrives at the 1 hour 15 minute mark. My order, the perch basket, was just 4 perch and a cup of tartar sauce - I couldn't believe it took that long to make. My wife's order was a beef sandwich without cheese, which they added cheese to, the beef was dry and the fries she said tasted like they had been dropped in the fryer then dropped again probably because they were cold. She has worked in food service a very long time and would know.

We get only a couple bites into our meal and this obese sloppy guy comes around, leans onto the back of an open chair, asking how everything is. I said it's ok. With an abrasive and combative attitude he demands I tell him, "What's wrong with it!??? Is it the wait time???"

He was already beyond perturbed that I said everything was "OK." I'm not sure what response he was looking for. "Ok" was upselling it.

I tell him they made her food wrong and we waited 45 minutes longer than the 30 minute wait we were promised. Had the waitress been honest/accurate about the wait we would have left since we have plans afterwards.

The apron toting troll says he made the beef sandwich and accepted responsibility for not making it correctly and tells me I just need to understand they have a new cook.... So I should just accept the extended wait times and poorly made food???

He's raising his voice to me during this entire conversation while we just want to eat our crappy dinner and get out of there so I tell him to go away and leave us alone so we can do that.

"OH! You're better than everyone! You don't have to understand our situation because you're better than everyone!" He is screaming at me. "You can leave when you're ready and don't worry about the bill because you're better than everyone," the slob yells at me then walks off as he tells everyone left in the bar that I'm better than everyone.

We were so embarrassed and upset we got up and left.

My wife and I couldn't understand what just happened. I did not ask for anything, I did not make any complaint, I did not instigate any argument. We have never sent back food at a restaurant or made a complaint. We are very understanding people and easy going. I would have been happy to be left alone, eat, leave and possibly give the place another try in the future. That is not going to happen now.

If they screw up the beef sandwich and fries that badly, how could they cook a rib eye properly??? Or any of the other steak/seafood items from the menu??

Stay away from this dump if you don't want to be yelled at in front of the entire bar/restaurant for not enjoying crappy service and poorly made food. My money is hard earned and so I'll take it somewhere else.

Large portions, great drinks, nice people. All around very pleasant experience. Will continue to be a patron.
