We don't get to Concannon's as often as I'd like but that's probably a good thing! The place is always super-busy. When we go in, I always know what I want but my husband likes variety and usually picks 1 of his 3 and asks whoever's behind the counter to pick the other 2 of whatever flavor profile he's interested in. Today was cinnamon. The young lady was very happy to pick him something and rang us up, she was all smiles the entire time.. The price generically for donuts was a little steep but for their donuts, I don't mind at all and think they were priced about right-they remind me it's a treat and not something for every day on our budget. The flavor? Absolutely delicious as always. Concannon's gets an A+ in our book.

Called to place a cake order and the lady hat answered the phone was horrible. She was rude and she rushed me. I’m going to call back in and cancel the order. The donuts are always great so I may grab one occasionally. But I definitely will not be placing any orders. I felt awful after ending that call.

On 10/20/2021 I went to Concannon's Bakery. After selecting what i wanted to purchase. I put 3 packs of cupcakes and toffee on counter. Evidently the price on the cupcakes was not correct. The register girl would not honor the price on the cupcakes, stating that was not the correct price. I did not price them and if it was the incorrect price that was not my fault. She was very rude to me. I asked to speak to the manager. As i waited for the manager to arrive. She told me to get out of the way, she needed to ring up other customers. I told her she did not have to be rude. Her reply, "wait till my manager gets here she will be ruder. The manager on duty arrived after about 15 minutes. Her name was Ziggy. Ziggy was also rude and would not honor the price on package. Stating she was not going to do it. There were several people in the area and they let her know that was not normal practice. The price on packages should be honored. Didn't matter she would not sell them to me. I asked for the name of her manager.
I called the manager Sharon Lee the next day. Sharon said, an employee called her and told her about the situation. Sharon response was, "I let know she handled the situation wrong", then she apologized for the workers rudeness. Going on that she is a new manager and still learning. Sharon was only doing what she could to apologize and get me off the phone.
That is no way to conduct business and to treat people in a place of business. It was very disrespectful too. I always try to buy local to help out local businesses. I will not be shopping at Concannon's anymore and will be sure to tell as many people as i can about this encounter.

While the apple turnovers are excellent, the sales girls (I notice a lack of gentlemen behind the counter) seem to lack how to put them in a bag. Got it home and some of the apples were in the bag, not on the turnover. Need to give them a little more training as to how to wrap something so good to make it home to be presented for dessert. Won't be back for awhile...hopefully you'll get them a little bit more aware of what they are serving!
