Order the mexican steak ... The waitress told me they ran out of t bone and said if it was okay to substitute a new york strip steak instead .. I agree , ( If this ever happens again , I will ask to see the cut of meat before I agree ) They brought out the steak on a sizzling pan.. I ordered it medium .. It was still cooking.It was actually sizzling.I asked the waitress to bring me out a plate so I could take it out because it was obviously still cooking ... The onions green and green peppers and tomatoes on top of it were great ... But.
The steak was a worst steak i've had in a long long time ... It was tough and almost to the point where I couldn't cut it ... I had a saw at each piece for like a minute or two ... The utensils are so cheap it's not funny ... Super flimsy the knife was bending , the supposed steak knife ... If you go there order ground meat tacos ... I'm sure they cant mess that up ... It's a shame that almost every Mexican restaurant.You go to can't give you a skirt steak .. But instead give you some crappy Cut a meat that I wouldn't give to a dog ... And when I asked the an adjustment .. They said they would have to talk to the cook ... I didn't feel like wasted any more time there ... And the bathrooms are tiny and smell ... Somebody should open up a good Mexican restaurant in Shipshewana that places a joke .. And beans are watery ... The only good.

Stopped in for a meal at El Zorrito after a long day, enjoyed the friendly service, affordable prices, and delicious food, particularly the amazing nachos, and was pleasantly surprised by the authenticity and quality of the Mexican cuisine.

The food and service is TERRIBLE!!!!
We were from out of town and my 1 order was not your typical Mexican food and it looked like an Enchilada not Tamales!!!! They refused to accommodate us in a nice manner. So heads up!!! I was foolish enough to leave a 5 dollar tip for our carry out I had to throw away. 😥🤬

Love this place, food is delicious, go there often. Staff is soooo friendly, but on the weekend they are super busy, so long wait at times, but they serve salsa (the best ever) & chips free as appetizers! So worth the wait!

Horrible service, failure to use sanitary practices, very long wait time and complete denial of accountability. Multiple health code violations. Beware of this place and do not frquent here as this only encourages them to continue bad behavior.

What a wonderful meal! The food was excellent and the service was great. A nice addition to our trip to Shipshewana.
