I was at that restaurant on December 2, 2022. The food (fajitas) I ordered was so salty that it was inedible and it made me sick. The meat was tough and burned to a crip and horribly salty, it was sickening. I complained to the woman server and she just shrugged her shoulders and ignored me. Not only the food was horrendous but the service was just as bad. I was never given any fresh water refill to drink, and was again ignored when I kept asking for the bill. After waiting a long time before I was able to leave, I paid $27.08 for a plate of fajitas that I did not eat. I wrote down on the check that I was not giving a tip because the food and service were horrible. To my utter shock, when I looked at my credit card billing two days later, I saw that I was overcharged by $10.00. The server helped herself to my credit card and gave herself a $10.00 tip. My total bill came to $37.08. Even if I had been satisfied with the food and the service, and I decided to give a 22% tip as suggested on the bill, It would have come to $5.96 and not $10.00. Maybe that woman server thought she could take advantage of a 74 year old lady who does not speak Mexican. Please be aware that you could be charged more that what you think you paid. This is not an honest place and the food definitely not good. Paying almost $40.00 for a plate of inedible fajitas is highway robbery. I would rate this restaurant as a MINUS 10. I would never recommend Mi Gusto Es Restaurante to anyone.
