Spending time at the recreated L.S. Ayres Tea Room inside the Indiana State Museum brought back many childhood memories, especially with its holiday-only, intimate setting and beautifully festive decorations. The buffet-style service, featuring classics like chicken velvet soup, mini chicken pot pies, and finger sandwiches, was enjoyable, and the attentive staff made the experience comfortable and memorable. Convenient underground parking with validation added to the ease of the visit, making it a worthwhile outing despite the higher price point.

I cherished the experience of dining at the recreated Ayres Tea Room with my dear friend. The nostalgic atmosphere and delicious chicken velvet soup made it truly special.

Not a great as I remember, however I doubt it would be easy to live up to our memories perfectly!
As my last name is pronounced the same as the store, and the smart remark always made when I use my name for reservations, I tend to use another name in the museum.
The wait staff is accommodating and efficient, visits are always enjoyable.
