The historic charm of this hotel comes alive through its unique train car suites and the warm, attentive service from staff like Mecka and Roy, who made our anniversary weekend unforgettable. Though the building shows its age and parking fees are steep, the welcoming atmosphere, convenient location near downtown Indy, and whimsical touches like ghostly figures and vintage train memorabilia created a memorable stay that felt both cozy and full of character.

The historical hotel was made even more special by the dedicated staff members - shoutout to Mecka at the front desk and Roy, who goes by "Tiny," one of the most exceptional bellmen I've ever encountered. Their warm welcome set the perfect tone for a memorable anniversary weekend, filled with genuine hospitality and a touch of history that made our stay truly unique. The hotel's rich historical background adds a charming touch to the experience, offering a glimpse into the past, though it may lack the modern luxuries of a 5-star establishment; however, the genuine warmth of the staff, the fascinating train cars, and the convenient location near various attractions made our stay truly enjoyable and worth remembering.
