I LOVE this place.. It goes without saying the meat is marvelous but the authentic recipes like real German potato salad put it over the top. I've been eating the ribs since they had a mobile concession across the street from Hardees and have never been disappointed..

I make it down to Oskaloosa 6 times a year and always stop by Big Ed's. I have never had such an incredible beef brisket sandwich. It is the most moist, tender flavorful meat. You have got to try it out. As a side, try the red beans & rice. Not your ordinary version. Prices are very reasonable too. Because of the consistent great brisket, I have never tried any other entre.

Excellent bbq at a reasonable price! I prefer the carry out. I personally don't care for the atmosphere of the restaurant. Too bright and basic and it is has never been busy when I am there. If I am going to eat alone prefer to do it at home. Very friendly people and very fast service.
