Excellent Nordic food and great pastries. They were always great to grandma who is hard of sighthearing. The staff was very friendly and welcoming.

I have had the pleasure of eating at Ruby's 3 times and very good each time. Ronnes cinnamon rolls are Great! The last time we had lunch there we had the pleasure of having Ruby herself wait on us. She is a classic! I would highly recommend going there to any and all!!!! Thanks for reading. CR

It's too bad the former review person had such a bad experience. I've been in there several times and they were always very good on service, even when busy. I've always recommended this restaurant to people from out of town.

Stopped here this past weekend for lunch on our way through town. First of all check the drink prices before you order. It was $2.50 for a coke. When we got our drinks it was a can. Seriously? $2.50 for a can of pop?! Then we sat there for a good 20 minutes waiting for someone to take our order as other patrons who came in later were tended to. The waitress who brought the drinks must have walked by at least 6 times without making eye contact nor giving any indication that she would be taking our order anytime soon. Another waitress did look our way at least twice but we weren't her table. We finally got up and left without paying for our $2.50 cokes. I can't recall ever having as bad of service as Ruby's in Decorah. Terrible.
