We always enjoyed shopping at Louie’s Until today. We had receive a $50 gift certificate from our employer last December for Christmas. I know this employer spent over $1000.00 on gift certificates. I had forgotten about it until today, December 21. It had expired on December 9th. My husband drove to Clear Lake (we live about 30 miles away) to spend it. We usually spend close to $100 when we shop there. He was told that it had expired and so was only worth 1/2 or $25. I realize we let it expire even though we had shopped there in the last year. I had just forgotten about it. I don’t think they have lost any money on these certificates. With the rise in meat prices I believe even at $50 last December we would get about $25 worth of meat at today’s prices. I am disappointed and told my employer what happened. He said they won’t be buying certificates there again.
