The atmosphere was lively, the live music enjoyable, our steaks cooked to perfection, the sides delicious, and although we indulged in all four desserts with the buttermilk pie being my favorite and my husband's pick being the bread pudding, I found the paper plates and plastic utensils frustrating given the prices, and despite the quality of the food and service, I prefer dining experiences with real tableware, which is why I will always cherish Gibbes, my favorite restaurant in the state for its exceptional ribeye and sides, along with the rustic charm and vibrant energy of the ancient general store setting.

The lively atmosphere at the restaurant added to the enjoyment of the evening. The live music enhanced the dining experience, and the perfectly cooked steaks paired with delicious sides made for a satisfying meal.

Rack of lamb is perfect. Maybe try medium. Best sweet potato, spinach casserole, and salad. NO iceberg.
