Ok so I went to this restaurant for the first & last time. The food looked beautiful. I was the second person in line. I ordered chicken wings (which were huge), greens, green beans, cornbread & peach cobbler. Since this is a black soul food restaurant, I assumed the food was seasoned. NOT. The chicken was bland; the greens were bitter; & the green beans were cold (mind you I was the second person in line so everything should have been hot); the cornbread had no sugar and very little butter. Now here is the worst part - my main reason for going there - the peach cobbler was disgusting. The peaches were waaaaay too mushy & how can you mess up the crust. It was also disgusting. My daughter had macaroni & she complained of how greasy it was. We were in agreement that the lemonade was good (hence the 1 star). The staff was nice & our waitress asked me to not let this one experience keep me from coming back. Ummm sorry ma'am that's the last time. After leaving $92 worth of uneaten food on the table, there is no reason to return. & to be clear, this was the E South St, jackson, ms location. Do not believe the hype of this restaurant.

When I went we had to go through all this examining. Then the food was nasty cold and greasy. IT WAS ALSO VERY MUSHY. Then I left my phone in there and the woman that did drinks stole it. SO then when we called they wouldn't let us speak to the drink lady. And they said they was gone call back but never did. That place is dirty the bathroom is also dirty. DONT GO THERE IT IS A DISAPPOINTMENT. THEY ALSO STEAL PHONES. THAT PLACE IS GHETTO AND ITS FOR JUNKIES
