Had a great time at this waterfront eatery with my wife last Sunday. The outdoor bar had a nice view of fish, turtles, and alligators. The shrimp basket we shared was delicious, especially with the crispy fries and hush puppies. The Pink Pelican frozen drink and live music by Hunter Gibson were highlights of the day.

Had friends visiting from Georgia, they had seen Pelican Cove on google and saw that they had grilled shrimp. They have picky eating kids, but love grilled shrimp and knew it was on the water at the reservoir. Ate early dinner tonight, 7/21/18, two ordered the grilled shrimp baskets. The shrimp was blackened and was very spicy, too spicy for the kids to eat. Reported to the waitress and thought they had sent the wrong food, she checked the ticket and said the chicken on the order was blackened but the shrimp were to be grilled, she checked with the kitchen and they said that this was the grilled shrimp. Feel like the menu should have stated that the shrimp were spiced, we were expecting shrimp grilled with salt & pepper. Very disappointing, nothing was done to change the bill and the shrimp were not eaten. We had already waited over 45 minutes for our orders, there were 6 of us. We paid, left and went across the reservoir and stopped at sonic for hot dogs for the kids.........will not return or recommend it.
