pie works sucks its over priced the food is awful the service is worse!!!!!!!

I have been going to my local Pie Works in Monroe, LA since it was first opened. Always good.

This past week I had to take a two day trip up to Memphis, TN. and stayed overnight on Sunday in Madison, MS.

I had a great experience. The food was great. The wait staff was great. Even the other customers were great.

On the way back I decided to stop at the restaurant and have lunch. What a difference.

I sat at the bar (as I did on Sunday night) and felt ignored as the bar tender talked to the two regular customers until they got up to go out for a smoke.

When the bar tender did come over he asked for my order and I ordered a Five Card Stud and a beer that was new to the location. I saw him ring it up and then go and ask the manager how much to charge. The manager said that the new beer cost the same as Amber Bock so the price should be the same. The bar tender told the manager that he charged the higher premium price---but I am sure that I was not supposed to hear that.

It took 45 minutes for my pizza to arrive. The bar tender barely said a word and never offered to pour me another beer even after he delivered the pizza to me.

He put the pizza on the bar and went back to talking to his regulars and playing with his cell phone. I ended up going to the supply stand and getting my own silverware and napkins. I asked for grated cheese and he did a quick circle around the pie and left. When I asked for hot pepper flakes he just looked at me and went back to his cell phone. I got the flakes myself.

I asked a waitress for a glass of water since I could not get the bar tender to even look at me.

I asked for the bill and he brought it and did not say a word. When I told him I was ready he came and brought back the change. Again, not a word. He never even said thank you went I left.

Poor service, poor attitude. Oh and the subject with which he talked to his regulars...snakes and spiders...hardly a good luch topic.

I left a 20% tip but certainly did not get the friendlyness and service that even deserved a dime tip.
