Went to the Pig on Blanding Blvd tonight (Christmas Eve) and in my 46 years it was hands down the worst BBQ I have ever eaten. I got the combo and the pork, chicken, and ribs were all so greasy that it was un-eatable. The Mac & Cheese was dry and the only things I could eat we're some fried pickles and baked potato. It will be my last trip to the Pig!

If you want a good hole in the wall restaurant, The Pig on Normandy is one of the ultimate. I don't generally eat BBQ, but I will here. The prices are very reasonable and the food is better than average. It's a bit rustic, and if you're a neat freak, keep away because, well, you'll freak. That said, they've cleaned it up in the past year or two. Sorry to see the vintage Formica be replaced. The top layer was worn to white from years of elbows and arms sitting to eat in the old Naugahyde seats.
P Too much hygiene is bad for your health. If you prefer 'clean' irradiated food, that's your business.

4/10/09 My Wife and I stopped in for breakfast this morn. (The $1.95 special). We ordered 1 coffee and 1 water with lemon. We were informed that there would be a charge for the water because people use the lemon and sugar to make lemonade. I Iinformed the manager that I thought that was ridiculous. Since we had not been served anything but drinks I decided to leave. He said if I didn't pay for the coffee he would call the police. I paid him $1.25 + .75 cent tip. He needs the money more than I do. I will never go back.
