Wheatfield's Bakery has such an amazing variety of baked goods and lunch options that it's impossible to pick a favorite-I've tried so many and love them all. The three cheese grilled cheese on fresh sourdough with a pickle is a classic I always go back to, and their cinnamon rolls are out of this world. The staff are super friendly, the atmosphere is cozy with beautiful tile work, and even when it's busy, the service is fast and efficient.

My partner and I drive over from Olathe, on Sundays, to have a huge cinnamon roll and then a Reuben or cibatti, with whatever toppings and a salad. I wish I lived in Lawrence so I could eat there every day.
I always call ahead and have them hold a 4pack of cinnamon rolls to take back home.
Their food is so pure and fresh and the staff is efficient and friendly. Their other pastry selections are delicious and they make the best sourdough bread like my Grandmother use to make. This is my go to diner/bakery for comfort food and the atmosphere is very relaxed. I love this place!!
