My boyfriend and I decided to try the burger special and we both ordered it medium and they came out extra well done. We understand that happens so we dealt with it. Our server was fantastic but the host was walking through the dinning area on her cell phone..My boyfriend and I have worked in the industry for a very long time and could not believe our eyes! There is no way a host talking on her cell phone in front of customers would ever be ok. It would have been nice to see a manager walking around.
01/23/2010 - Treated With Profanity
We called Sydney's in the morning and inquired about the burger special. The girl who answered said it lasted until 8 p.m. When we got to Sydney's our server said it ended at 7 p.m. She was willing to call the girl but her manager would not let her call. So when we asked to talk to him he was cooking and she told me I could go back and talk to him. Instead of saying she made a mistake and I am sorry but I can't extend the original time his said
"If you don't like it you can get the F--- out. I told him there were five people from five families and he had not right to talk to us that way. He repeated his statement and said he didn't care that he had enough business. We have never seen or heard of any manager using profanity this way. None of us will go back and we will spread the word.
