I absolutely love dining at The Pointe, especially for the stunning sunset views over the water. The walk over the bridge from Portsmouth is totally worth it just for this scenery. When it gets a bit chilly on the pier, they provide cozy blankets which make the experience even better. The food is always fresh and tasty, and the staff goes above and beyond to ensure a great dining experience.

Rude arrogant hostess and bartender (manager?) we had reservations for my wifes b-day. Arrived and asked hostess if we could sit under deck canopy where there were several empty tables for 4. She said tables were for parties of 4 only. We pointed out a table with 2 people we were told we had to sit either in the hot blazing sun or in side in the noisy,crowded bar. Reluctantly we took a high top for 2 in the very hot sun. By the time our server arrived we were sweltering and my wife asked to be moved under the canopy as she is prone to skin cancers and had no sunscreen. We were told by server that canopy was for reservations, we told her we had reservations then we were told it was first come!! There were still empty tables!! Server said she would ask the bartender (manager?) she came back and told us the Bartender said "no". We left. As we were leaving a party of 2 was being seated under the canopy. Having lived in Portsmouth for 50 years and dined out thousands of times, l haver been treated so rudely!!! Avoid this place at all costs
