Place burned down last night 4/26/11. Been there since 1952.

My Our steak was woefully overcooked and when I pointed it out to the waiter and later the manager they were rude and unconcerned. My money would have been better spent at Burger King.

The first time I ever ate at Charlie's Steakhouse was in June 1966 I was a brand new paratrooper in the 101st Airborne Division. It was pay day and what better place to go for a meal. The Delmonico steak was to die for. When ever I go Back to Fort Campbell I make it a point to eat here. The times and prices have changed since '66 but the quality and size of the steaks have remained consistant. If you leave there hungry it is your own fault. My recommendation don't eat the potato and salad JUST eat the steak One can always get salad and potatoe anywhere But a Charlie's delmonico is a steak lovers heaven. Enjoy your steak

I am probably the worlds worst person any restaurant would ever want to rate them..no kidding. This is one of the few places that I have ever dined that I keep going back to, for nearly 25 years now....As a young woman who is an excellent cook also I may add, have never been disappointed with a meal here,LOL...I always order the same thing...T-Bone Med, loaded baked potato, and the absolutely best I ever had Salad..their blue cheese is to die for...yummy!

My wife and I had our first “Charlie’s” Steak House experience last night. Our expectations were high based on some of the reviews we had read before arriving. From the outside it looks like a dive, but we believe in not judging a book by its cover. When we arrived we were seated immediately; even though the place was absolutely packed. When we opened the menu we were slightly alarmed by the high prices. But, based on the high prices, and the packed restaurant, we knew we were in for a memorable “16th Wedding Anniversary Dinner” experience.

Our waitress quickly arrived, and took our drink order. My Bourbon and water was sufficiently strong, and my wife’s bottled diet-coke was sufficiently small (8 ounce bottle, so no free refills). She arrived back 10 minutes later to take our meal order. We both ordered the 16 ounce rib-eye. Only at this time were we informed they were out of rib-eyes. So we sent the waitress away, and waded into the menu again. We both decided next on the cheese burger and fries. This is always a good choice for us; even at $11. This would have been the most expensive cheese burger we had ever eaten, so we knew we were in for a treat. We placed our order, and 30 minutes later our burgers arrived.

Ordered medium well; the patty was huge (even after cooking), juicy looking, pleasingly colored, and sufficiently caramelized. But, this excellent looking patty was served on a flat, generic, oversized grocery store bun (not even sesame seeds); flash frozen bagged crinkle cut fries, and a grudging portion of lettuce, onion, and tomato. We almost left at this point. Pre-packaged crinkle cut French fries with an $11 burger? No fancy bun? Minimal accompaniments? No steak fries in a steak house?

We decided to eat our burgers. Before I began preparing mine (mustard, mayo, onion) I noticed it still had the wax paper from the cheese (or the patty) still on the burger…between the cheese and the burger. This was too much to stomach at this point. One hour and 5 minutes into our almost-dining experience and we were out the door; at no charge from the Manager for our untouched meal.

We then went to eat Korean. Now this was the memorable experience.

We won’t be going back, one of many reason was the fries. Though my wife likes her baked potato, I like my steak-house fries. If I want “Charlie’s” style fries, I can go to “Waffle House”, and won’t have to pay $30 plus dollars a plate (when ordering a steak) to get them.

Horrible service in the first place, terrible salads. My steak was well undercooked and even after sending it back to the kitchen it still came out wrong again. Don't waste your money.

Have been going there for almost 20 years, the change in ownership is barely noticeable. Best steaks for 100 miles in any direction, including Nashville. Will be going for my third time this month tonight. Kind of pricey, but what isn't these days. You get what you pay for. Steak for two can feed three, and tastes fantastic. Club steak is bone in, three inches thick. Salads and deserts are good too, but conserve room for all the steak, you will need it.

My favorite place to eat in the Clarksville area. Amazing steaks that melt in your mouth. They should bottle up their blue cheese dressing and sell it! ....and No,no way in Hell Nancy will this place close down in the next year. Stay in IOWA and pick your corn.

This WAS the best place to eat...before they changed owners. Now nothing is like it was for the 40 years before. I have driven 180 miles since I moved from the area to eat here. i went last week and it was awful. I had read some bad reviews and just thought the people had a bad experience. NO IT IS A BAD PLACE TO EAT, NOW. This was a Friday night at 4:00 PM and there were only 8 people there in the hour and 20 minutes we were there. What a shame they have taken such a wonderful place and turned it into a nighmare. It will close within the next year mark my words. No place this bad will ever make it.

Been going here for twenty years... still my favorite steaks ever! Old-fashioned atmosphere and very flavorful, tender beef. Try the sirloin for two (medium rare) and the bleu cheese dressing on your salad. Yum... I wish I could have some now!
