This use to be a great place to eat, and the food and service was great. But now I don’t know what has happened to The Billy Rays Restaurant that I went to and loved, but it’s not the same place that I would go to eat at or recommend to anyone else.

Love this restaurant. We live in Northern Indiana but visit the area as often as possible. We always visit Billy Ray’s. Best food no exceptions.

Really happy we ate here Saturday night. Well, we went on the early side, really good food, nice atmosphere, nice people, if a bit over casual at times.

Beware parking might be a serious issue if you are not there for an early dinner, but if you have to hoof it a couple blocks, it's still worth it, IMO and the three other ppl with me.

I got their "surf and turf w/ salad and sweet baked potato.

I think if I'm there again, )from Ohio just visiting) I'll pass on the skewered shrimp and just get the bigger prime rib. The shrimp was only thing I was not very pleased with. It was NOT bad, just nothing special.

The prime rib was perfectly seasoned, usually I have to salt and pepper at other places, but first bite to last, exactly right.

Looking forward to the next trip down South ;)

I grew up here in prestonsburg. I was practically raised on poolroom burgers! This place has a lot of meaning to me. We used to hang out at Billy Rays after school, just about everyday. I'm glad to see it now. It's a staple to downtown pburg. I brought my kid in with me today and was telling him all the stories from daddies past! Burgers were just like I remembered them. Delicious. Thanks for keeping it alive!

Eight of us come to town for a meeting and were encouraged to go to Billy Ray's. Great food - all American - I wish I had not made the New Years resolution not to eat dessert. There on the counter were some fabulous looking cakes. One of the fellows ordered the double cheeseburger. I think he is still there trying to eat it all. It was huge! If you want good country cooking - stop by. We were there late in the afternoon and did not see (smell) any one smoking.Give me a small town restaurant any day!

Had Sunday morning breakfast, Great food Good price. Have eaten their at least 3 or 4 times a year for the past 3 years when traveling never a disappointment. Service is good and people are friendly.

I went there today and had pinto beans with cornbread. The beans were CANNED BEANS! Yuck. And people can smoke in there, so the place stank. Gotta say one good thing -- some really great coleslaw.
