service was bad.food came out cold and bartender and waitress seem to be more interested in talking and laughing with their friends then taking care of customers

Jessies is better than ever! The food is great..the music is BACK and the new owners and staff are so friendly..the place has the feeling of CHEERS..very warm and inviting! We are now the new regulars at Jessies!

After changing owners twice, the third reincarnation of this once vibrant music and food scene is now all but gone. The food is edible at best, and lacks the lustre of the menu back when it first opened. The friendly atmosphere has been replaced with attitude, and smug. Even the bands don't sound as good. I would not eat or drink here again.

When Jessie's was open in it's last iteration, the staff was friendly and the menu was varied. Well, after it closed, re-opened as a place for wet t-shirt contests, and closed again, it re-opened as a restaurant again and they have music on Saturday nights, as well.
Well, my wife and I checked it out on Saturday night and the menu is essentially bar food, plus a couple of fish dishes and baby back ribs (which were delicious). The delicious cornbread they used to have is long gone. I ordered the grilled vegetables and they brought out steamed broccoli. They said they ran out of grilled vegetables (7 pm on a Saturday night) and let me get sweet potato fries in addition to the broccoli. (that was nice of them, anyhow).
The friendly atmosphere is gone, unless you are a friend of one of the new owners.
We bought a restaurant.com certificate off the internet and we were treated like second class citizens. One of the owners was giving out boxes of Jessie's t-shirts to everyone but us. When we asked him if we could get one, he said we couldn't, because we were using the restaurant.com certificate. When we were about to leave, he draped one over my shoulder, but my wife got stiffed. Not the way to treat patrons or get return customers.
