Satisfying the soul with a sense of familiarity and stimulating the senses with his eccentricity. Simons takes an honest and simple approach to his cooking, creating refined versions of American and California favorites served in small plate fashion satisfying both the refined palate and the social diner. The bar includes a unique selection of new and old world wines offered by the bottle, glass or flight, as well as an impressive list of domestic artisan and imported beers. Some menu highlights include Scallops with Vanilla Risotto, a creamy Macaroni and Gruyere Cheese with Serrano Ham and Leeks, a light and flavorful Beet and Smoked Eel Salad with a Kumquat Ginger Dressing. This charming neighborhood restaurant embodies Simons' urban energy in an unpretentious style. The violet banquettes throughout are complimented by the dark chocolate wood tables. An amber glow of candles and lights in the dining room and bar help provide the perfect setting for dining or meeting friends for a casual drink. Steel beams add a modern sheen to the ceiling. Cherry framed mirrors appear along the walls along side modern art.
