If you want the best frites in the city, along with a boisterous Paris bistro atmosphere, a great wine list, impeccable service, and consistently great food, Mistral is the place for you. The bread and creamery European style butter is so good you'll have to force yourself to stop so you can save room for the fabulous steaks, lamb chops, and fish courses. Some great starters are the Ceasar salad or Beet and bleu cheese salad, in addition to garlicky Escargot and Tuna Tartare appetizer. For main courses, the Porcini encrusted halibut is perfectly prepared, and always a hit. The chicken Mistral is loaded with delicious garlic flavor, and the steak tartare is a scrumptious treat. Mistral also serves great steaks (au poivre, or with garlic and parsley butter), beautiful lamb chops, and a list of specials. For dessert, order the Chocolate souffle served with unsweetened fresh whipped cream, and share it with the table.
