took 2 bites of the Tostada. Threw up 10 mins later..came back to eat my beans and rice, looked like frozen food from Ralphs. Thanks for robbing me $12 lol, never coming back

We went there on a Friday night about 6:30pm. We had to wait about 15 minutes, but had drinks & waited outside. We were seated at a booth, and had a lovely college girl as our waitress. She was very friendly and helpful. We ordered the gucamole, made tableside. It was great. We also ordered the mango chicken salad and shrimp fajitas. Excellent food all around. The decor is nice, a fun atmosphere. There was a party next to our table, and their festive mood was spilling into the whole restaurant . The flan is unbeliveable! We will definitely go back.

So good, everything was great i loved the tamales and my wife ordered the mango salad with chicken. this was not on the menu, i love that they can accomodate our different tastes with their many menu items. The flan is awesome obviously the best i've ever had. The atmosphere is great we will definately be back.

We were very disappointed with the quality of the food. It took our server about 5-10 minutes until they took our drink orders after being seated. My advice: go to the Mexican Riveria in the village!!!! That place by far has the best freshest quality ingredients! Lupita's had no taste, no flavor, all grease. We left our shrimp enchiladas untouched - it was that bad. Lupita's food tasted cheap and frozen. I really expected more from their 2005 "Best Mexican Restaurant" award.

I posted a negative review on 5/29/06, regarding the restaurant not honoring a coupon.
Since then, the owner has sent us a letter apologizing and gave us a gift coupon for his restaurant.
More than anything, it appers that it was a lack of communication on the part of the owner and employee.
We have since gone back and had a great meal.
We will continue going to Lupita's.

We had a coupon for a discounted dinner. My wife cut it out of the magazine ad and we took it with us.
They did not honor the coupon. They said it was not theirs, but it was, it had their address on Pacific Coast Hwy on the page in the magazine. My wife cut only the coupon out (it had dashes where to cut it out, the actual coupon did not have their address, but the ad did)
Very poor public relations.
Probably will not go back there.
