Without exaggeration, my visit to Sushi Fuji was the worst experience I've ever had at any restaurant. It's a poorly run business that insults its customers and, all in all, has no class or basic manners.
In summary:
- Charged us for two sushi orders we NEVER received.
- Caused a scene when we (calmly) attempted to explain the situation.
- Called us "cheaters" and yelled at us to never come back.
I came with my boyfriend, his mother, grandmother and sister. Cheaters? Yeah, we're serial order-food-eat-it-hide-the-plate-pretend-we-never-received it cheaters. Seriously, who even does that? We certainly didn't but we were outrightly accused of doing so by Sushi Fuji.
The sushi we did receive was mediocre, burned scallops on our scallop rolls, burned salmon on our salmon rolls, and loosely held together alaskan rolls. When we asked our heavily accented waitress when our crunch roll and shrimp tempura rolls would arrive we were met with a negative attitude accusing us that they had already come. There were five of us at the table who testify that we never received the sushi. In the end, those two orders were still on our bill and they caused a big scene in their own restaurant in front of many other patrons.
Good or bad, I'll definitely pay for food I order and receive. That's not a problem at all. It becomes a problem when I'm being charged for food I never get. On top of that, to be disrespected about the whole ordeal? I'll pass thxverymuch.
All in all, a bad experience that I wouldn't wish upon anyone. Skip Sushi Fuji, there are much better restaurants (sushi and non) all throughout Burbank.
