07/04/2011 - worst place ever!!!
Wait forever for rude service, overpriced mediocre food! No thanks..never again!!

If, by chance, you've traveled as far as Boston, the VERY venerable, old Durgin Park Restaurant there has the same rep' with me as Pat's--the waitress...is an acquired taste. I did get treated, consistently like an outsider...until I was not, figured her out, made the orders straightforward, quick, threw in a compliment; now she's as fine as the breakfast special which is A+++. Eggs as fresh as possible, coffee super (I'm very picky too), fresh potatoes, lots of buttered toast; if you're incredibly hungry, have two--that'd only be $7.70, M-F

I have to say that perhaps it is a locals place...Great service perfect breakfast for less than $5. Good vibes in the canyon...I suggest you stay in the Valley and eat there if that's where you're from.

We read the bad review and wanted so much to give this place a chance... I mean, how bad could it be?!
The service was nice, but we had to wait a looooong time for the food. The grilled cheese sandwich had procesed cheese (possibly from a tube?); the beef burrito had no taste whatsoever, and we left so disappointed after the worst meal of our lives. My husband did really enjoy his iced tea, but his chicken tacos were tasteless with defrosed guacamole and there were plenty of tasteless chopped onions in everything. So sorry, but had to write this.

Horrible experience. Treated terribly by the waitress - there was only one other person in the place, but it was too much for her to wait on me. She spoke rudely to me, and even at the point of giving me the bill was giving me "daggers". When local people came in later, she was "sweet as pie" to them... so beware... maybe this is just a place where locals are welcome. Sat eating a mediocre breakfast on the patio, smelling gas fumes as cars raced up the canyon... NEVER AGAIN!!!!
