02/10/2007 - Tim
By far the greatest waste of potential I've ever to experienced in dining. The atmoshpere is wrought of old LA class & charm set off by the bar which is backed by a beautiful and giant aquarium and a circular main dining room lined with booths and anchored with a fantastic fireplace at twelve o'clock. However the food and service are an epicurian catastrope
Unless you enjoy paying high end dollars for Sizzler quality steaks and vegtables that were only moments ago frozen, served by a catatonic (think of the Adam's family butler) beast who rarely appears to help, do not stop by this East Pasadena establishment.
The only person with an idea of what a work ethic is in this place is the woman who buses tables. She went to the bar for me twice to refill my drink. Yes it took three rounds, one from the waiter and two from the woman busing tables, of drinks before dinner was served. A meal purchased from the microwave section of Fammima would not only be a better value but would surpass in quality anything the chef at Frank and Dean's has yet to ever dream about and you'd get to eat it in a timely manner.
