Back in the 1970s, I first discovered Meadow Farms sausages, each one measuring seven by four inches, which adds up to four in a pound. One day, I ordered a chili dog at a restaurant in Monrovia, California, and it was love at first bite - even better than the famous Artr's Chili Dog Stand on Normandie Avenue and Florence Ave. For a while, I used to swing by their location on South Western in Los Angeles to grab a box or two of their "Special seven fours." It's been a minute since I've been able to visit, but I still dream about making a trip down there again someday.
