The service at Shibumi was impeccable, with attentive staff who thoughtfully accommodated my shellfish allergy and took the time to explain each course, all set against a cozy, romantic ambiance enhanced by a carefully curated soundtrack. The Kappo-style menu, crafted by Chef David Schlosser with two decades of expertise, offers a unique journey through seasonal Japanese flavors-from silky walnut tofu and smoky sashimi to inventive tempura and exceptional desserts like Koji ice cream-which truly sets this downtown LA dining experience apart from any other Japanese restaurant in the city.
