People are familiar with traditional Lebanese cuisine: rottisserie chicken, shawarma, pilaf, hummus, babaganoush, and garlic spread. But this is only one part of Lebanese cuisine, the other side is: The bakery.
Shanto’s is a contemporary Lebanese bakery with reasonable prices. Two staples of on-the-go Lebanese cuisine are: Manaish (pronounced mana-eesh) a Lebanese version of pizza, and Pita a round flat bread much like a tortilla used as a wrap for sandwiches.
