The wife and I got terribly ill after we ate here. The food was not that great anyway. Do not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Consider yourself warned!

You feel so welcome each and every time we enter the restaurant. Their personnel are extremely efficient and always greet you with a smile. The service is excellent and the food is the best Mexican food ever.
Just recently one of their employees lost his battle with cancer, Not only did the owners close the restaurant for the entire day in order to allow his employees to attend his services, but provided the food for the families and friends attending the services. It was truly a wonderful experience for myself and my husband to see and to be part of such an outpouring of support and kindness for his family and friends.
The owner(s) of this restaurant are truly an amazing example of caring and wonderful human beings.

Went to the new one on Sierra hey and golden valley. Service was Terible. The bar tender not only got our drinks wrong but we waited at least 15 minutes for a drink then it was wrong. Try to get a second drink impossible we tried to get attention of anyone who walked by they just ignore you. Even the manger walked by several times we asked for s box and another margarita he never returned. You'd think after opening three restaurants they'd know how to provide some kind of service nope guess not. If they can't handle the afternoon crowd how will they deal with happy hour and dinner. This was absolutely infuriating will. Ever go back!

This is the worst restaurant to eat at. Our family had been going to this establishment for over 5 years. We took friends there, family, had celebrations there. On February 4th we were there with our family. My wife had gone to the women's restroom to wash up prior to eating. The waiter Manuel whom had waited on us numerous times followed her to the restroom and waited for her to come out. Upon her leaving the restroom he approached her and handed her his phone number and asked her to call him and winked at her. My wife became very insulted and uncomfortable. She would not tell me what was bothering her while at the restaurant for fear that I would create a scene with Manuel. My wife did not even finish her meal and left before my son and I did and went home. I was informed of the situation later in the day. I was furious and was completing to go after Manuel and teach him a lesson. However, I felt that I would be looked at as the idiot rather than Manuel. I informed the management of the restaurant (spoke to Mario the manager and later to Edgar one of the owners of the restaurant) the following day telling them what occurred. They indicated that they would investigate the situation and get back to me. The following day after reviewing the film of the incident and speaking to Manuel, I was informed that he denied what occurred and stated that my wife had offered him a position at the school where she has volunteered in the PTA. That was a complete lie!!! Noone at the school has the authority to offer such as postion except through the district. They had everything on tape but chose to do nothing!!!. Additonally, this establishment was lied to by their own employee and to this date has taken no disciplinary action against him. Both Manuel, Edgar, and the restaurant have insulted and disrespected myself, my wife, and our entire family. Not even an apology occurred. They are simply looking to pull in as many patrons as possible and don't give one hoot how they are treated. It is more important to have a lying employee that solicits against women that come in to eat and it does not matter if they are single or married. Manuel is a philthy pig!. Edgar is a extremely poor manager and does not care about his clients. Rather than get physical with Manuel, we have chosen to make the public aware of the tactics of this establishment and strongly urge others not to eat there. We definitely will never go back and intend to tell everyone we know not to support La Cocina. They have extremely poor management.

We really enjoy their food. Service is fast for dine in and take out. The place is almost always packed, so arrive a little early for seating.

You can't go wrong with La Cocina. I grew up just a hop, skip & a jump from some of the BEST authentic Mexican restaurants in
L.A. (I'm not talking about Acapulco's or El Torito, either) and La Cocina is right up there with the heavy weights, in my book!!! Their Huevos Rancheros is one of my favorites (morning, noon or night) La Cocina's salsa is one of the best!!!!
