Wako has been my go-to for crispy, juicy tonkatsu since I was a kid, and nothing has changed-each bite still hits like a flavor bomb wrapped in golden breading. The interactive sesame seed grinding ritual, friendly staff, and perfectly paired sides like radish kimchi and pickled jalapeños make every meal a fun, comforting adventure worth braving the crowd for.
