A friend of mine spent some time working at this quaint establishment run by an elderly couple, with the woman managing the register while her husband skillfully prepares meals in the kitchen. Despite the sparse clientele and the somewhat haphazard decor-complete with flies buzzing around and papers taped up to highlight their latest offerings-the food truly shines. I savored the chicken parmesan, which featured a perfectly crisp exterior, tender meat, and a sauce that struck just the right balance.
