Tonight was the worst attempted dining experience I’ve ever had. We came in with a party of 20, we told them we wanted to all sit together and were told it would be 1 hour, no problem, we were expecting to wait since we had such a large group. 2 hours later we were finally taken to our tables, we were given 4 tables in 2 different areas, still we were willing to work with that. We sat all the kids/teens at one table (there was just enough seats for all of them) and were going to put all the adults at the other larger table but were 1 seat short so we moved one of the smaller tables we were given over with the larger one. One of the staff came over and was very rude from the moment she walked up, telling us that they don’t move tables together even though it was one of the tables we were given and the larger table we were at was 2 tables (of different widths so it made the seating awkward) put together. When our waitresses came over we politely asked them if we could speak to the manager about adjusting the tables, they left and came back a few minutes later to say that they would not move the tables, the manager never came to see us. At this point we all were becoming rather irritated so we left, the original girl stood there as we were leaving with a smug look on her face and telling us to “have a great night” in a very snide and sarcastic tone. That was the final straw that took us from moving our 6 families and hundreds of dollars to another restaurant and never going back. We have loved chimes for years and gone there regularly, often with large groups and never had an incident like this. This experience has ruined one of our favorite restaurants for us.

A once wonderful restaurant gone down the tubes. We have eaten at the Chimes (several locations) for many years. The food was once very good and the beer selection outstanding. Sadly, the etouffee now tastes more like rotel these days and the service which is polite, is also inattentive to an outrageous degree. We ordered and watched as our education major waitress gives her life's story at the next table with the order in her hand for a very long time. Order before you are hungry because by the time you eat, you will be. Someone should explain that salads should come BEFORE the main meal - NOT after. When people ask for special orders - check before it comes out - unless you are too busy gabbing with co-workers. Ditto the same thing with drinks. This was the third very bad experience for this place. They are in dire need of a recipe upgrade and adult supervision for their servers. Go someplace else - ANYPLACE else. Major screw-up after major screw-up and not even an apology.

great spot except for the state police car stalking people from the rear of the gmc parking lot
