i will just start off by saying this...

statistically proven, when people have a bad experience, they will report it (such as on an online review table) over any outstanding or amazing experience. people will complain more than rave and there is nothing that can be done about that.

on a lighter note, cafe paridiso is a great place. many people are confused sometimes by the counter service because it switches half way through the day. during lunch, it is counter service and dinner it is table service.
maybe people who do not understand how to read signs may think they are being "ignored" but in reality it is counter service until about 4 or 5:00pm.

there is no doubt about it that the owner, Adriana, is a pushy woman. she is a double-business owner and she's tough. but she is one of the best cooks i know and at the end of the day she is a very kind hearted person who is extremely dedicated to her business.

im sorry for all of those who feel as though their time at cafe paridiso was horrible and by some of these crazy reviews, iti sounds as though your experience may have caused you slight trauma or something...

BUT MAYBE YOU SHOULD GIVE IT ANOTHER SHOT SINCE CAFE PARIDISO SERVES 150-200 PEOPLE A DAY-ON AVERAGE THURS-SUN AND WE HAVE MANY REGULARS AND MANY PEOPLE WHO RAVE ABOUT IT.

ps- and for you "greygoose bloody mary" girl down there...
the grey goose is not touched and the bar as well as the back stock room is on camera 24-7. if you cant taste the alcohol in your bloody mary, maybe you shouldnt be taking it out on a review page... i have actually been told personally that i have made some of the best drinks people have ever had. i am a proud bar tender at cafe paridiso.

Good food, but bad service. Service is almost non-existent. Activity behind the bar is confused and
disorderly. ONce food is obtained, and seating is found, a summer or spring outing may be very
pleasureable, if one can find a suitable seat, with
not too much sun in your face.It ould be a wonderful place with the right management.

The problem overall is that the servers are completely scared of the owner. Everyone is overworked and after talking to a few of the employees I found out that most of them went their few couple of weeks if not a month with out a day off working odd shifts and constant change of management.

Due to seasonal demands and only one machine to do per task a wait is an issue but the servers can be verry helpful and the food and drinks are worth the wait. So sit back and enjoy the italian atmososphere and dont be affraid to speak up if you need something.

We went for brunch today. We were told that buffet price included all coffee drinks, including au laite, etc. Then while ordering a counter the male behind counter told the server that they had changed doing that. How do you change what you offer after you offered it? Also, I agree there is something funny with the vodka. I ordered a Bloody Mary with Gray Goose and swear it was a virgin bloody Mary. Yes the attidtute of the owners is baddddd..

I went here for lunch the other day and got a panini. The panini was great, but it took an hour for the server to bring me the panini and a water. He never came to check on us to see if maybe we wanted another drink. We had to flag him down for the bill at the end because we didn't want to sit there for another hour.

It would also be nice if they had menus set out or a board with their menu on it. I walked inside and had to ask for a menu from someone inside.

I would love to go again for lunch because the food is good and inexpensive, but I'm turned off by how long it takes for the server to bring us our food. I need to go back to work after I eat, so I can't wait that long for a sandwich.

In my opinion, I think owner fills her Grey Goose Bottles with cheaper brands such as Svedka, and the Bombay Saphire or Beefeaters you may be drinking could very well be Gordon's!!

The martini's are good although expensive!! The food is not great and the service as well as the owner are atrocious!! Rude, rude rude!!!!! I'll never go there again, neither will any of my 30-something friends who live in the lowell area.

Love the dessert and Momosa! However, very upset how the owner refused to serve my friends and I one night for a drink after leaving a bar since she said we shouldn't be drinking late.

could be a perfect after dinner/ outing hang out spot but the service sucks and cant really blame the servers as the owner makes it obvious how much the workers are ill treated, i wouldnt be a happy server if i worked for them.

Great atmosphere. Service can be sketchy at times due to seasonal nature of help but ownership hs always been very aggresive in rectifying the few complaints we've had to make. Dinner food is good to very good, all desserts are 100% unbelievable. Alcoholic beverages are pricey but good. We like it best as a late night coffee/dessert stop after a night out and always seem to run into friends there.

The atmosphere (if sitting outside) is great. However, the service and value ruin it completely. The owners/servers do NOT know what 'customer service' means, nor do they care to. I refuse to go there, I would rather take my money elsewhere.
