My wife called in my order, so I would have something to eat at work. She ordered a Large Triple Mongolian with Lo Mein, instead of rice. Eight Fried Wontons, Sizzling Rice Soup for two and a Large Half and Half Tea. The Triple Mongolian was extremely small and looked (old) gross. The Lo Mein looked like it was cooked yesterday. There was no filling (cream cheese) in the Fried Wontons. They were severely overcooked. The lid did not fit the Styrofoam cup and cup on the tea properly, so it came off and spilled all over my driver seat. I have been eating here for years, but this place is a disaster now. I am making a Better Business Complaint and want my money back. I won't come back here again.

Best Chinese Food in Macon. Extra fresh seafood. Extra-sized portions that last us for three meals.
Was surprised how good the take-out is. Really miss dining in and can't wait for them to reopen. The ginger dressing on the salad is so good and tangy. The small complimentary dessert cake finishes off a great meal. We often used the back room for the Mercedes Club and Porsche Club Dine-Outs.

When I first ate at the Mandarin in 2009, it was, by far, one of the best, if not THE BEST, Chinese restaurant I ever dined. I could not say enough about the quality of their food. All good things come to an end and the Mandarin having the title of best Chinese restaurant sadly ran its course and ended as well. I do not know what changed within the restaurant however it became noticeable to me something had changed, and not for the better, around 2012-2013. And when they fell, the fell hard and far. It was that big of a change. I am going to try the Mandarin one more time, (which will be my third time since the quality and taste went south) before I write it off completely to see if they have corrected the problems. If the third time yields the same results, then I will write off the Manadrin for good.
