Top Reviews of Tower Inn

Do not bother coming to the Tower Inn.  The owner will not appreciate your business! 6 friends and I went to the Tower Inn on 10/24/2022,  We have been playing cards together for 40 years.  This was the first time since COVID started that we felt safe, one of my friends has been fighting cancer. We had come to the Tower Inn a number of years ago for cards.  It was an OK place, we went there for 6 - 12 months.  One of our members who died 4 years ago would get chili.  Werner was so funny, he loved crackers and would put so many crackers in the bowl it would overflow.  Since this was our first game in so long, we wanted to honor Werner by coming to the Tower Inn for chili! 5 of my friends arrived first and they picked a table toward the back so we would be out of the way.  The owner was nervous the pool players that were coming later, would have enough tables, which there were.  I arrived and joined in the game.  We were all buying drinks, enjoying each other's company.  1 hour later, our last friend arrived and 1 table was not sufficient to fit us all with drinks.  We went up front where we would be out of the way of the pool players.  We needed to put two tables together to fit the seven of us.  Before we could move the tables, the owner yelled out not to drag the tables.  We lifted them up, the bartender came to help, but we had already put them together.   As it got darker outside, it was very difficult for some of my friends and I to see the cards on the table because there was a machine on the wall with a missing cover, the unfilter light behind it was very glaring, hence the problem seeing the cards.  There was a halloween decoration, witch with a long lace gown on a hanger, very easy to remove and put back and it would probably helped alot with the glare.  I started to touch the hanger and the owner yelled out to leave it alone, which I did.  I tried to explain about the glare and what I was doing, but he did not want to hear what I was saying.  I asked him if there was anything else I could use and he yelled NO!  I tried to say i was sorry but that was falling on deaf ears. About 15 - 20 minutes passed and all of a sudden the owner was standing by the corner of the table.  He blurted out if we thought it was ok to move something.   I tried to say I was sorry, and the owner continued to yell.  Then he complained that only 3 of us had bought drinks.  We all had purchased drinks, and it was alot of drinks, 16 beers, 2 mixed drink, shot, Arnold Palmer and a cranberry juice.  This was all in 1 1/2 hours.  Then he went on a rant about moving tables and chairs.  We all sat there with shock on our faces, then he told us to get the F*** out!  So we left. My friends and I are between 62 and 74 years old. The owner must be in serious financial trouble to complain were were not buying enough, and obvious stress out about something.  Beside the drinks we had already purchased, we would have spent a minimum of $140 on meals. Tower Inn is not a place to spend your hard earned money, it will not be appreciated, and it will not be enjoyable!
