We wanted to book La Fortuna for a wedding and were told we had to wait until after a certain date. That was fine, but a little tense, so we waited and booked with them for a June wedding. When we called to book, La Fortuna said they do not do contracts. I was disappointed as I prefer a signed contract but they said not to worry, they would honor the commitment as if a contract was signed. Several months later they EMAILED to cancel our booking. They wrote "something else has come up with no further explanation and no phone call to explain. It couldn't have been a family emergency as it was still several months before our wedding. We had not called anyone else in the meantime as they had verbally committed. I was amazed at the lack of professionalism and integrity. DO NOT depend on them for an event.
