The food was fantastic, with a good variety for all tastes. The service was excellent, especially Emma who was patient and kind.

Samba Grill is the epitome of fine dining in Madison. The choices are numerous and can take several visits to try all of them. Even as a buffet, you can't possibly eat everything in one visit. The wine list is over 8 pages long and includes selections from all over the world. The salad bar is 360 degrees around and 2 levels high. This alone is enough to fill you in a single visit. The salad bar consists of several leaf vegetables, roasted and sauteed dishes, pastas and a variety of cheeses and garnishes. The meat selection is the Pièce de résistance. There are usually 6 types of meat in a single evening and can include ribeye, duck, chicken, sausages and the consensus favorite; the flank steak. People will actually dine here just to eat the flank steak. The prices can be high, especially if you purchase several drinks, but it is easily a dining experience that is difficult to match in Madison.
