Vin Santo continues to hold a special place in my heart with its delectable Italian flavors. The lasagna is a true masterpiece that never fails to impress. The warm and welcoming atmosphere adds to the overall charm of this hidden culinary gem.

Another spectacular Italian restaurant in Madison! Vin Santo is small and quaint, and I mean small. The tables will seat 1 comfortably, 2 might be tight depending on what you order. The waitstaff is in your line of sight (and also in your personal space) more than most would like. They are good at not colliding with your table though. The ambiance is subdued with good lighting and lots to see, as they put the finishing touches on your meal in full view of the restaurant. The wine list is a bit disappointing. There is not much selection for individual glasses of red, white or blush. However there are more selections if you wish to purchase a bottle. The most expensive being $82. The food, on the other hand, is impeccable. My girlfriend and I went last weekend and each had different ravioli dishes. I had the chicken/Gorgonzola stuffed triangle ravioli; she had the spinach and Gouda stuffed. The chicken stuffed came with a spicy yet creamy red sauce that bit at first but ended mildly and with lots of flavor. This is what they do best here I think. If you can get over the cramped and "inter-personal" feel of the place, the food is well worth it.

By far the best pasta in the Madison area. Small intimate atmosphere. I have taken many friends their over the years and they all absolutely LOVE the food.
