Bunky's Cafe offers a diverse menu that blends Mediterranean and Italian flavors. The hummus and tabbouleh were highlights, while the Mediterranean Veggie Combo provided a satisfying variety of flavors. The ambiance is cozy and welcoming, making it a great spot for a casual meal with friends or a date night.

My husband and I ate at Bunky's and I was THRILLED to find a restaurant that not only accommodated my gluten-free diet, but did it so knowledgeably and graciously! The entire staff was very pleasant and helpful and made us feel like family. The GF meat lasagna was the best lasagna I have ever tasted, hands down. The cheesecake was a heavenly experience. What a delight to be able to go out to eat and have delicious GF bread served with my meal and then dessert! I also enjoyed the early attic decor which could only be carried out by a Goodwill Goddess like myself:)I will be telling all of my celiac support group members about this treasure of a restaurant. Thanks, Bunky's!

I was so excited my first time at Bunky's to order a pasta dish that I could eat. The wait staff was very friendly and my gluten free meal was fantastic. I enjoyed gluten free beer there, too. I ordered a gluten free pizza to go and ended up eating half of it on the way home! I am a regular at Bunky's when I'm in Madison visiting family.

GLUTEN-FREE COMES AT A HIGH COST (both money and humiliation)!!
When we politely asked for a substitute for the pita bread because of allergies to gluten (ie. cucumber slices, carrot sticks, tomato wedges or ANYTHING to dip in the hummus and baba ganough), the owner made a scene (talking loudly in front of a lot of other customers), saying how expensive vegetables were, that our request was outrageous, and the only way they would substitute veggies for pita bread is if we paid an extra $2.00!!! We're never going back to Bunky's and we've talked several of our friends into having group meetings at OTHER, friendlier restaurants in the area.

Theresa and staff, esp the indefatigable Fernando are the best at making every guest feel like a celebrity. I used to think she had mistaken me for somebody important--then, I realized she considers all her guests important...The food is fantastic and it is mah-ve-lous dahling to be able to eat safely, gluten-free, healthily, and deliciously--all in the same place. I also appreciate the funky decor--just like my home. Ciao!
