Whenever I head up to Maine, Sam's Italians always have my back with their unbeatable chicken salad on a garlic wrap-it's basically a flavor explosion that hooks you for life. Carlton, the manager at the Center St shop, is an absolute legend who makes sure every order is spot-on and greets you like an old friend, while the young staff keep things fun and friendly. After a round of golf or just craving something real, their tuna Italian or meatball subs hit the spot every single time, and trust me, those peanut butter whoopie pies have been stealing the show long before Oprah gave them a shoutout!
