The creative menu and friendly staff create an inviting atmosphere that makes every visit enjoyable. I absolutely love their fish and chips, and the selection of brews complements the delicious food perfectly. Despite the lively noise typical of a sports bar, the overall experience is vibrant and welcoming, making it a fantastic choice for a meal or a relaxed drink.

great food and service

I ordered the fried clams with fries and coke slaw. The fried clams were terrible. They literally had no flavor. My wife had a chicken faheta wrap, she said was terrible. The service was very good. Too bad the food was terrible. We won't return for a repeat.

My wife and i ate there last night and i had the Maine shrimp and fries. The shrimp was good and the fries, i could have changed the oil in my car (second time) Lack of quality control and in dyer need of a sound engineer to quiet the place down. They are going in the same direction of fast breaks. Time to call in chef Ramsey.

Pros: The food is wonderful. The seafood is fresh and cooked perfectly. The portions are generous and the prices are very reasonable. The waitstaff is friendly.
Cons: It is very noisy. It is a restaurant and a sports pub and it is a large open space and so noisy that it is often difficult to hold a conversation. Better to go at off times. The wait is often quite long to get your order.
There is a long wait for a table on the weekend. We don't even try to go at mealtime on the weekend.
Despite the negatives, we continue to go for the great food and prices. We just try to go at the least busy times.

Thank you. I do like to here all the good stuff and understand there is going to sometimes be some bad, especially with how many people we serve daily. I do need to know the bad so we can fix our mistakes or at least try. We change things daily to try to serve all of you in the best possible way. Again, thank you.

We eat at the Gridiron at least once a month and have never had a bad meal. My husband swears by the haddock and fries as well as the burgers, but my favorite changes during each visit. The spicy sausage and shrimp Alfredo is my current, but the fried shrimp and/or clams or the Montreal steak tips or the seafood stuffed haddock have all held the top spot and are always in the rotation. There have been times when the service hasn't been perfect, but those are usually when there are large parties in the banquet room or a holiday. If you want great food, go to the Gridiron.
05/20/2009 - Pass on the Gridiron
Went to Gridiron for lunch with party of 5. Took 5 minutes for someone to come to our table, and the place was NOT busy. Were assured by server we'd get our order in time to get back to our meeting (needed to leave 30 min from then). Twenty minutes later, and no food. They were nice enough to pack it up for us to go and give us a $10 gift certificate, but we won't be going back. The chicken wrap I had was really bad, the honey dijon sauce tasted like watered-down mayo, but not as good. Their draft beer may be good, but don't trust anything else. Consider our fumble before going to the Gridiron.

I attended the Hillside Family Riders party on the 14th. My wife had fried clam dinner which was overcooked and dark brown and only warm. Her fries were soft and cool. My Fish & Chips dinner was good but only cool warm. It took 1 hr to get our meals, but realize this was a large party. The big things was the meal that came out only warm and not cooked well especially the clams.
