Growing up, I used to visit a local IGA that has since closed, so whenever I spot one while out and about, I have to check it out. This particular location had a great prepared food section with sandwiches that were humorously mislabeled but tasty, plus an impressive selection of local beer, cider, and other unique brands. The old-school vibe feels like stepping onto the set of a '90s show, and the friendly staff, fresh produce, and custom meat cuts make shopping here a genuinely pleasant experience.

I have this soft spot for a local grocery store that reminds me of my childhood, and I always make a pit stop whenever I spot one while out and about. There are a few sprinkled north of Portland that carry unique brands and a nostalgic charm that transports me back to simpler times.
