Whenever we go camping at st malo we stop in for their homemade fries. Best in Manitoba!! Plus price is very reasonable so leave a good tip.

Did not feel welcomed at all, from the second we walked in everyone was staring at my friend group, staff was extremely rude to us and didn't even help serve us, so we didn't even stay for food or drinks, OUTSIDERS NOT WELCOMED

Just ok, had breakfast with the family.
Coffee was weak. Food was ok, deep fried sausage was disappointing. Hash browns with onions were decent.

Terrible .We booked a room from Europe based on comments. Room was a nightmare: small , dirty, we did not dare using the shower and left as early as we could ( easy we did not sleep too much) . Worse experience ever in Northern America

I would not recommend this restaurant. The food and service was horrible. We asked our waitress what the soup was today and she didn't know, nor did she go to find out. We both ordered the half burger Royale. We asked what a platter consisted of & were informed fries & salad (either house or caesar). We went with the caesar salad. When we received our salad, it was a tossed salad as it had tomatoes and carrots in it. When I mentioned to our waitress that this wasn't a caesar salad, she said "I don't know, I'm new here". When the food arrived our burger was overcooked and missing the gravy on it. The fries for one of us, arrived much later & arrived cold. Our waitress screwed up our order as we received one 1/2 platter & 1 full platter. We brought this to our waitress attention and she just walked away. Our waitress never returned to see if we would like more water, etc. We received our bill and were charged for two salads, a half platter, a full platter, gravy & a pepsi. I said that I would not be paying for a full platter as that was not what we ordered, nor did we receive what we asked for. We were told we had to pay the bill and could take it up with the owner so I asked to speak to the owner. My partner spoke to the owner and our bill was corrected. The owner informed him that they were short staffed. Besides the two of us, there was another couple ordering food, and two others having drinks. When the waitress brought us our corrected bill, it was someone else's bill.
I told her we never ordered a beer and coffee. She finally brought the right bill and stated "now the manager knows who you are." My partner told her this was on her, not us. So very disrespectful! We camp at St. Malo often but will never, ever, eat there again.
