Best coffee ever. I have always had cheerful and great interactions with the owner and staff. Perhaps by following all Public Health guidelines/restrictions and treating others as I wish to be treated has paved the way for more positive interactions. I look forward to my visits there.

In over 5 years, I have had only good coffee, good advice, and good treatment. Thank you, Black Pearl

I think Black Pearl writes their own reviews, and I am serious, there is no way there can be such contrast. When I went in I observed all the covid rules, right from the start the guy had a very cold and scary look on his face, he just stood in the door with his arms folded. It was traumatizing!!! Went to Deluccas ot spend the $300 I had planned at BP and was treated with kindness plus they had so much more to purchas

Contrary to scared. I had a super experience. But I did follow the CoVid posted rules, entered as a single person (one shopper at a time) came prepared with my order, only asked for the limit allowed and moved quickly (so as to be polite for others waiting outside for their turn)I was ready with my payment and I was aware of how hard they are working with restrictions in place. I was respectful of the limits and rules. I got respectful service back. Shopping local this season, I had witnessed those shoppers expecting “personality plus” and being badly behaved themselves coming in as two, pushing the staff for more and huffing and puffing and trying to find workarounds to the rules when denied. If I was their mom I’d scold them for not being kind themselves.

Went there to buy Christmas gifts, owner was rude the moment we walked in, and it got worse from there, we asked a couple of questions and before we knew it he was yelling vulgar profanities at us, we left before he decided to get violent, because it felt that was coming next. The person needs help, very sad. I was shaken up ,never have had an experience like this, my advice is stay away, there are other local roasters in Winnipeg

Travis was great fun to deal with. Great smile. The coffee is superb. We look for decaf beans and the Peru and Espresso are wonderfully rich and aromatic. We mix them together. It’s allowed.

The coffee from Black Pearl is fantastic however Trevis, the owner, is a bit bitter and the staff are also a little off. Maybe it goes with the territory - everything there is roasted.

The best coffee in town. Hands down. “Bean” exclusive to The Pearl for years.
